WH bridal shower

According to the Washington Post (WaPo to Beltway insiders), Jenna Bush is hosting her bridal shower at the White House, or at least hosting the 15 guests there. Maybe we'll see some pics of it leak later.

Shall we all go in on a set of Steuben longhorns from Bergdorf

I'd rather see new drapes in the East Room. :-)

I'd rather see new drapes in the State Dining Room. There is something about those flowery drapes that looks dated and tired to me.

LOL - Star Wars - I love it! And speaking of drapes....What happened to the valances in the east and west sitting halls on the second floor? I think those big bare white rods look rather common for such a grand house.

I agree, the white drapery rods over the windows look like the economy selection from Sears. Are they doing the decor now?
Bad Laura....bad! And all that yellow- To quote the first lady's quote re Nixon era Green Room upholstery-

Thanks Carrie, I'm glad I'm not alone on this. Oh well, I guess the first family is permitted to put their own stamp on things, however misguided. :D
