Miscellany

Added a few various photos, including a couple sent by Stephen B that include the Carter bedroom. Anybody know what issue that came from?

Off topic and I know it's been mentioned before on the site; but if anyone is keeping up with the Presidential Libraries series Friday nights on CSPAN they keep talking about an in-depth, HD series they are going to air next year (I think in the Spring) about the White House....I can't wait! (The Presidential Libraries series is good too; last night was LBJ and next Friday is Nixon)

I saw it too, and they said "watch for more information". I hope I don't miss it and they'll put information on the website.
LBJ library was very good, and so was JFK, aired last week, and now on to Nixon!

I love seeing pictures of the master bedroom. Its a very interesting thing to see the room that the most powerfull man on earth considers his private domain.

Did you ever notice that there are no pictures of the bedroom or the President's Study (old President's Bedroom) during the Clinton years? I have looked high and low for these. I often wondered if--especially in the days right after Bill admitted he hadn't had "sex" with Monica, if the first couple revived the old tradition of separate bedrooms. Wouldn't have blamed the 44th president if she had kicked the 42nd out of her bed.

I remember when his book came out, Clinton said in an interview that he was not sleeping in the bedroom for a long time after the affair.

weather he actually had his own bedroom set up or was practicing the age old male tradition of sleeping on the living room couch is unknown.

Though with all those spare bedrooms upstairs, it seems silly that he would sleep on a couch.

I think one of his couches in the Oval Office was a fold-out.

Chelsea's party looks like the best/worst party in the world.

Nix, perhaps the people will decide that #44 will not be the spouse of #42. Sometimes the past gives the future an unexpected turn. Maybe not so unexpected.

Isn't that a picture of our current First Lady on the shelf above and behind Roland Messnier in the Pastry Kitchen?
